Kate had been fussing that she needed more family seating
Of course she informed hubs that she wanted the coastal look
Hubs said it would cost money $$$
Goodwill here I come and then hubs was LAUGHING until.....
Kate meowed & called hubs to pick it up from the goodwill
straight from a furniture store where it was a NEW floor sample
it is twill cotton blend & washable
color is Oatmeal perfect for coastal decor
Hold on for the best part Kate's mommy gave her a 25% coupon
for any goodwill in Orange County. The NEW floor model sofa
cost was 47.02
Kate LIKEY!!!!
now Kate is shopping her family member's spaces for
the perfect piece for that bare wall and some lovely pillows
I love washable furniture that looks awesome

Okay Kate, THAT is ABSOLUTELY R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!!!!! I am sooooo jealous! You have some really scary lucky Goodwill mojo!! Please give us Goodwillers in other parts of the country some pointers...when to go shopping, where to get coupons...is there a secret? Let me tell you, I NEVER find stuff anywhere near as fabulous as you!! You ARE Goodwill blessed, my dear.
ReplyDeletePS Hope you are feeling well!
I'm back. I like what you did with the vintage strainers, that was such a great idea! I can't wait to see your newly decorated area with sofa pillows and all!
ReplyDeleteTee hee! Love that title! Clever girl!
ReplyDeleteThat sofa rocks it! That is a fabulous find! I have noticed that our Goodwills have started to get lots of "new" merchandise (returns, floor samples, etc...), but here, it is really expensive!
I want to check out the white Ektorp slipcovered sofa from IKEA. We're planning a trip there soon!
Hope all is well out on the west coast girl! I am feeling a little better this afternoon, but not 100% yet. It's either stress or one really weird bug I've picked up. I just feel like crap!
Hugs to you,
Polly
Ha! Good for you! It's perfect! ~Mindy
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh love the couch!!! great find <3
ReplyDeleteKate,
ReplyDeleteThat couch is the bargain of the century!! Wow and congrats on your find! I'm sure you'll have fun filling it with some yummy pillows. :)
Oh, no you didn't! How lucky are you? This makes my finds seem humble compared to this awesome couch. Great score!
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying you week.

Kate is a Rock Star ~ UnBeLievAble....
ReplyDeleteOkay now, this run of Goodwill good luck is getting downright scary!
ReplyDeleteLike, what are you gonna bring home next, hmmmm? How on earth are you gonna top THAT??? And yet, I know that somehow, you will!!! :-)
I bow to you, O Magnificent One!
Anne
That's just scary good! 47 dollars, I'm in shock. I believe that Someone is in the blessing line. Hope you're feeling OK, miss kate!
ReplyDeletelove ya,
Debra
What a score!
ReplyDeleteI live in the Portland Or. area, but I've been to Country Roads a few times with my friend that lives in Laguna Nigel....it's such a great place to shop and i've had to ship things home every time I go there!
CRAZY WOW!!! You are one lucky treasure hunting lady :)
ReplyDeleteYou know Kate, I've been thinking ....here you are struggling with this disease. It's difficult, it's scary, it can easily open the door to bring darkness into your life. I think you are incredible to have such a strong, positive attitude. In spite of it, you do your thing and enjoy your life.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I believe that one of the ways God lets you know He's faithful is by blessing you at Goodwill...yeah I know it sounds silly...but still!!! You're on a tight budget but still manage to snag all these incredible finds. No one has gotten there before you to snatch any of these things up, they're right there waiting for you. I bet it keeps your spirit up and your mind racing with creative ideas that take your mind off the L (I won't give it power by actually spelling it out). Girl, it's a God thing.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior Isaiah 43:2-3
no kidding on that sofa...it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! awesome. your ideas are beautiful, thank you for sharing your creativity with us!!!
ReplyDeleteYou, my friend, never cease to amaze me! A couch, for that price, with that look? You rock! You must have been in yesterday, since your little corner of the world at Country Roads looks different than it did on Monday! Looks good as always!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Sue

Holy Crow Kate!!!! The Goodwill is the best for anything - Baseball cleats/Aurora Borealis necklaces/Vintage glassware and yes - Sofas. you just never know what you are going to find there. I wish I had room to drag home everything I ever wanted from there. I need to rent a POD. You had a great score. It looks fabulous ~ can't wait to see your wall. Your thrifting pal ~ Dee
