Today my special package arrived from sweet Amy at MITTENS
I was one of the lucky winners of her Happiness Giveaway!!!
Amy contacted me to ask what date to place on the pillow?
I shared with Amy that we just found out my mother has cancer
and that we are treasuring the time that we have left together.
I asked Amy if she could put both of our birth dates on the pillow
since my mom always writes them together for years now.
isn't it beautiful!
she sent a very precious note since I shared with her
why I wanted these dates on it
my mother smiled and said "awwww" when she saw it
we found a special place to display it
for those of you who follow my mom adopted me at twelve
she was my foster parent and then decided to
keep me forever. Even though my heart is breaking I am still
so thankful that I have her for a bit longer
Amy thank you so very much for all of your kindness
I am ever so grateful to you for this
Amy is quite talented and you have to stop by her etsy shoppe
and her little boy "Brooklyn" is the most adorable
stop by MITTENS and see all of her wonder
please say a prayer for my mother Angie
we all love her so very much
love, kate

Yet another bump in the road for such a sweet person. My heart hurts for you Kate. This pillow idea is so perfect.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you and your family and I hope you are feeling well lately.
Take care,
Kathleen
Precious Kate,
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible example you are, of a woman who seeks after Gods will. I could feel the peace He has given you in the midst of this very painful time.
I know from experience how difficult it is to lose the woman who devoted her life to you. I believe the Lord has a special place for someone who takes one of His children and raises them like their very own. Your mother and my grandmother are perfect examples of that.
My prayer will be that He lovingly keeps reminding you, and your mother, that He is with you and is in FULL control.
...and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" Phil4:7

Talk soon, Meg
Wait a minute you are a leo like me! My birthday is August 20th, did we already exchange birthdays? When is yours?
ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
ReplyDeleteYour post has brought me to tears. I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through with your Mom. What an amazing woman she must be. You can see the loving kindness in her eyes, and in yours. Lay your worries at the feet of Jesus. I'm certainly not saying it's easy but that's what He wants and needs us to do.
I continue to pray for you dear.
Blessings,
Missy
