I mixed the dark reclaimed wood with the white wood
its a perfect marriage with my table that
I got from Sue's Boy Bryce
pieces of this wall are all part of things that belong to my
heart. Some of the planks are from my grandfathers shed
some are from Bryce and others are salvaged wood
that Mr. Dior & I found together
my son used his wood working skills to build this mirror
out of 2.00 salvaged white fence post that I picked up at an estate sale
we are still working on the handicap bath for my mama

Ah Ms. Kate your reclaimed wood is BEAUTIFUL. I wish I knew someone that had a barn like that. You're blessed to have wood that was your grandfather and also that you have Mr. Dior to build such beautiful pieces for you. My Mr. Hubby is a computer guy, not very good with building things. My Daddy, God rest his soul, did that for me. Anyhoo, my dear I will be jonesing for you shutters ; )
ReplyDeleteTill your next post ~
Hugs ~ Deanna
Beautiful photos...I especially love the look of the B&W photos against the old wood...
ReplyDeleteThe old wood is great! My Farmboy has an old homestead on his property and he tore off some wood to make barnwood frames and mirrors. We got busy but I hope to have him make more for the shop and for me, I want him to do a headboard, too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week sweet girl!
