Goodwill = Love Day 2

Today I am showing more of our home 

filled with Goodwill finds...

Everything here is a Goodwill find

All of the picture frames are PB or

Restoration Hardware found at the GW

none of them were over 7.99

The chrome lamp and linen shade

were picked up at two separate GWs

I buy what I love, What speaks to me...

{Not much of a rule follower}

I mix metals and different textures...

The beveled mirror print is something that

Mr. Dior and I just love.  A vintage floral print

framed in beveled mirror.

I was hooked the second I saw it.

When I turned it over it came from an

art gallery in NYC {swoon}

Not a bad find for 7.99

We have lots of natural light in this room

so at times it is a challenge for me

to take the right shot...

I was excited to find a faceted crystal finial for

1.99 to finish off this linen lamp...

I fell in love with the color on this little statue!

He came home with me

for 2.99

The coral is from my friend Loretta

of Full Bloom Cottage

I placed the coral on top of an old vintage ashtray...

{love the patina}

White Wednesday " Goodwill = Love "

I love how the Dior home is filled

with such amazing treasures that

I find at the Goodwill...

So much that Mr. Dior asked for

a small change in scenery that would remind us

of the coastal vacation spot that we love...

I decided I still had to put my style into it

with my love for industrial.

Yes it's true I'm not a ruffles kind of girl...

The industrial table is an old

cobbler work station from  Chicago. I placed it

as a platform to start my vignette. I love all of the holes

and nubby crannies that it has. The age worn character

is my favorite part...

{it even had the drawer missing]

I scoured the Goodwill for nice books that

go well with the decor and make an

eye pleasing display...

Mr. Dior and I found these old benches at

the Goodwill that were such a steal.

We brought them home and recovered them

in remnant linen that I found there

in their curtain & bedding section.

These benches will be the perfect extra seating that

can be tucked away when not in use.

I love using natural elements which

I typically can find at the Goodwill

in the basket section ie old wood

crates that can be white washed...

I will be sharing more of the room next week

using all of our Goodwill finds...

I love to hang them against burlap...

I use them on top of dressers & tables

I love to use them in displays

at Country Roads

add them to a bookcase...

 I love using natural elements...

Vintage Inspiration Friday " patina of old "

The years of worn have such

a beautiful patina...

Vintage bottles, worn hymnals and an old bucket

were my inspiration this week

for a table scape by my window.

I love how beautiful its looks when the

sunlight shines through...

I added this vintage ashtray to the table 

the patina sent my heart soaring...

I draped the table with old white gauze

and worn nubby burlap...

Added some old books and fragments to

this aged garden piece...
