The Dior home has a love
for vintage shutters...
I love to hang them against burlap...
I use them on top of dressers & tables
I love to use them in displays
add them to a bookcase...
I love using natural elements...
Linking up to the lovely

I grew up in a French built home in Viet Nam. We had shutters on every window that we closed at night. A fun memory.

Vintage shutters add great architectural interest. You always display them so well, creating beautiful back drops for your dreamy organic displays and vignettes.
ReplyDeletelove old shutters! i have a tall set sitting in my garage forever now! i found them in trash a block over from our house. i feel inspired to use them now!
ReplyDeleteon another note, where did you get the quatrefoil pillows on your bed? I am searching frantically for a few yards of that fabric. i really want it in grey and white, but no luck. tan and white would work. if you don't mind letting me know if you have a source, i would appreciate it!!

ReplyDeleteLove your gorgeous, peaceful style. :)
I am also a shutter fanatic! I have them on my living room windows ~ they're from an old farmhouse circa 1860's and quite large to fit these giant, old windows.
You'll see them soon enough.... :) :)
Hope you have a beautiful weekend, my friend. xoxo

Do you sell any of the old/vintage shutter hinges? I'm looking for one that is 1 1/4" high for my Hoosier cupboard. One broke & I want to keep it as close to original as possible. I can send pic if you like...
