{No whites and decor today
this one is from my heart}
Chances are at one time or another we
have to face a challenge in our life
that leaves an uncertainty...
A time where our path seems
so unclear of what lies ahead...
Yet life waits for nothing so we
have to keep walking and waiting
to see where the roads leads...
I wish at times as I cling to my faith
that I would be fearless like my sweet Gracie.
Through her eyes and spirit
I am renewed to embrace what is
" the here and now "
Our days are too precious and valuable
to give in to the " what ifs "
As I ponder life and the trials we all have to
face in one form or another I know this to be true
without God I am nothing...
Today as the ground shakes for some of us
approaching the battlefield we are not
alone God has provided friends
{warriors} and loved ones
to go the distance with us...
How blessed are we to have those in our lives
who lift us up with encouragement, prayers
and most of all unwaivering love...
I truly hope that we can embrace life
moment by moment...
No pettiness to steal the joy
of what living is truly about.
My prayer is to bless the lives
of those who know me and share
the beauty of this life God has given.
That each person I come in contact with
whether stranger or friend will
always be left with a feeling of love
and compassion from my heart
even on my darkest days...
May your week be filled
with much love and blessings
XOXO
I wish all the same for you, dear Kate. Many blessings, my friend.
ReplyDeleteKate,
ReplyDeleteThis post brought tears to my eyes and just what I needed to hear today. You know my battlefield this past year and a half, and just when I think I've advanced, a new battle emerges in my heart. I too have truly learned that without God, without my friends, prayer warriors, and family...I would have crumbled under the load. Lately, I've wondered aloud to the Lord what good will come of this heartbreak and when I'm at my weakest He reminds me of his promise by the little scripture plaque my son gave me last Christmas. It sits on my kitchen windowsill to see every day "For I know the plans I have for you " says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope" Jeremiah 29:11
Hugs and Love to you,
Karen

ReplyDeleteKate, with a daughter as beautiful as Gracie, that is a blessing in itself. I hope you are doing well, I think of you often. Yesterday my neice's high school friend was diagnosed with Lupus, stage 3. Keep your faith, you are beautiful
ReplyDeleteMy sweet, sweet friend. Gracie is fearless because that's what you taught her to be. YOU did that for her. She is who she is because of you. Gracie is kind and thoughtful and sweet and strong. We both know that could only come from you. She feels your strength and she has blossomed through the trials. You are an amazing, talented, caring, loving, strong and brave woman. You face your battles head on, even when you no longer feel the will to fight. I am here for you always, no matter what, I am with you on the battlefield and whatever comes, we will fight together.

Kate - I've been popping by your blog for about a year now. I don't always comment but truly love each of your posts. I send hugs and prayers your way. You are an amazing woman and your daughter is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKate how do I make it through your post... carefully and gently listening to every spoken word taking in your love. The word is with you, and knowing your love through him is all one ever needs. You are a worrier in prayer and I stand with you for it is our love for him that shelters. Your Gracie is a beauty and her Mama is guiding her on the right path :)
ReplyDeleteKate that sweet beauty mark under her nose fits her well.
Thank you for this much needed post.
xoxo
Blessings

Just yesterday I was talking to my 12 year old son about something that was stressing me out (we're moving) and he thought it was so ridiculous that I was stressed. And you know what, he was right! God will take care of us and he will provide. It's moments like these that make me truly understand why Jesus told us we need to have faith like a litte child.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful filled with love and blessings post Kate...i love you.....you are so special woman......love Ria...xxx..
ReplyDeleteSWEET!!....thanks for brightening my day!

You know, Gracie gets more and more beautiful each and every day! Her smile in her beautiful pictures makes me smile right along with her.
ReplyDeleteTake care,

Dear Kate, such a beautiful heartfelt post with words that ring so true. We all need to live right in this very moment, be grateful for everything given to us and do our best to be a beacon for others. My oldest son is very practical about life. He does not see the need for worry or stress or explosive tempers and raised voices. The best we can do is deal what is given to us and let go of that over which we have no control. Sending much love, many hugs and abundant blessings your way! Tammy
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Kate...your daughter's sweet spirit shines through her smile...
ReplyDeleteKate,
ReplyDeleteYour love and compassion always shine through!
The photos of your precious daughter are WONDERFUL
May God give you the strength you need this week, and as you wait for God to answer your prayers ~ and rise up with wings as eagles ~
know that His love for you and His plan for your life is creating a beautiful story to be read throughout eternity, as He is the AUTHOR and finisher of our faith.
Jesus sits at the right hand of God and at this very moment is interceding on your behalf. Just think, Jesus is sitting next to His (and our)Father, talking about your needs!!!
And through your daughter and what she sees in your life, your faith will affect so many more people in the future than you can imagine.
Thank you for the beauty you share.
Love,
Violet
Bring your Gracie over to see my little girlfriends on the blog :) She is a doll.
ReplyDeletePraying for healing and blessings for you!
Hello Kate~
ReplyDeleteThis was such a lovely post, and the pictures of your daughter are so sweet! Your words are true, too, and remind of what Jesus said about how we are to have "the faith of a child". :) And just so you know, you are a blessing to every one of us who has the privilege of knowing you! You leave sunshine every where you go, my friend! :)
I hope you have a gorgeous day and a fantastic weekend!

Jenni

Beautiful words, beautiful heart. You have always been a loving friend to me! Much needed post for me today...we just lost a beautiful family member, my brothers stepdaughter. She was only 22 and was rushed to the hospital last week only to find that an unknown hematoma in her brain had hemoraged. They took her off life support last night. We are all heartbroken.
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading about your lovely trash dresser you found I came across this post. It could not have been more perfect for me to read today. Thank you for sharing your thoughts as I do, because we never know whom it will help, even for a stranger. Thanks Kate.
