If life only came with a dress rehearsal
could you imagine working out all of the kinks before hand?
Marriage, motherhood, being a woman
Finding yourself, finding your way
finding your place?
This year I am seeing a common ground
with the trials of life.
Each of us having no dress rehearsal as life
tosses us into the next scene.
Each day brings forth challenges
while today I'm cheering my precious
Gracie as she reminds me this is it!
One chance to live each day
and love with wreckless abandon!
We played dress up in my wedding dress
and laughed till we cried.
She was in her own element
as I clicked the shutter frame after frame
I watched through the lens and she was full of joy
with no thought of tomorrow...
" Hey mom you are alive "
"Yes" I am and so very blessed for so many
provisions that God has provided
as I continue this beautiful journey...
During our dress up play she says
" mom where is my bouquet? " I said " oh hang on a minute "
while I ran into the back yard
Then I got this look...
while she said " Really mom you made me a bouquet from branches "
More laughing till I was crying...
Oh I'm sure Mr. Dior knows this look all too well.
{the apple does not fall far from the tree right}
As I continue to climb up the ladder
When I become a bit tired and weary
I will remember to breathe...
To trust God
While my faith is tested
While my faith is strengthened
While others are here alongside me...
My deepest gratitude in my heart
to Sue Jackson for helping me " make it work "
so that I can continue to
do what I truly love in # 31
at Country Roads...
Sue is a beautiful blessing in my life...
New chapters await
as I take a big leap of faith...
I know we will face hills and valleys
and we will have love that knows no limits...
Thank you Lord for my beautiful place
my beautiful journey
and your mercy and grace...
To each of you who have been here with me
at Salvage Dior
I am grateful
I am blessed
I am humbled
I pray that the New Year is filled with much
love and blessings for all of you.
Mr. Dior and I have exciting adventures to share
as we put a new spin on
our latest curbside rescues.
Love to all of you
XOXO

How Sweet ~ what memories this gives you for years..... I have a photo that was taken about 22 years ago of my daughter & nieces, all in wedding dresses~ mine, my sisters, and our oldest sister who was married twice, so enough dresses for 4 little girls... We went to the local photography studio complete with little bouquets of flowers I made that morning from the garden~ Memories I will always hold dear to my heart (even thou I am now divorced for many years) I still have my daughter in my dress..... Hugs to your sweet little one~

ReplyDeleteMuch love, and health, and blessing you have not yet experienced as of yet, this is my prayer.
You have sheltered us in your beauty, and words with all the glorious spiritual food thoughts.
I have been so blessed just knowing your love.
